      Pros

      Easy commute, no real stress, technical work can be interesting

      Cons

      Senior positions are based on connections, most "manager" roles are just desk fillers who do nothing, especially if they are blow ins from Milan. Forget career progression unless you are Italian. Project work is very very slow. Severe lethargy followed by blind panic by Milan is the default Project Management position

      Pros

      Decent brand on your CV. Nice(ish) location in Victoria. EAP (Employee Assistance Prog.) is helpful. You'll need it.

      Cons

      Morale that is about as buoyant as the Titanic. Culture where no-one takes responsibility for the simplest things. So much bureaucracy that it is impossible to do your job in a i) timely and ii) efficient way Lack of communication; no social aspect at all (etc).
