Pros
Worked at Birmingham for a relatively short time on a very challenging project. Good work-life balance. The team was great, lots of talented people, and most of the new hires are locals. Worked mostly with Spring MVC, Webflows, and Node.js. The office is great, lots of space and well lit. Development is standardized and well documented, so moving from one project to another is almost seamless. People are open to new ideas and encourage you to share them.
Cons
Salary base is not the greatest. Most of the leaders and managers are Hispanic and sometimes it feels like if you want to be a leader, you need to be Hispanic. Not really a con, but development tasks were highly complex and require a deep understanding of the concepts and frameworks in question. If you are new to Java or Spring, you will have a hard time.
