Pros
I always liked the idea to work for a company that is there to help its customers when it matters most for them and they have a claim. in addition, Zurich has a very strong market position and capital strength. It's truly global and there are many great people who work there.
Cons
The culture has suffered over the last years. Taking decisions and executing against them is not a particular strength of the organization. As it's somewhat unclear who can take what sort of decisions, many decisions unnecessarily are escalated to management where the topics naturally do not always get the attention they deserve. As a consequence, decision taking is slow and when there is a decision, there is a bit of a pattern to put it into question again. Also, execution against the decisions is less consequent then it would need to be and with a series of resource cuts over the last years there increasingly is an imbalance between priorities and resource availability.
