Pros

Some people that you will work with

Cons

Management, Politics, Toxicity, Lack of operational stability This place is hyped up but do not fall for it. After working tirelessly for close to four years to build a whole team from the ground up, I was asked to leave with a meagre severance package. The initial shock was unfathomable. Every person that I worked with including my own team (that I also build from scratch) was shattered and thought I was joking when I said I was being asked to leave. The impact that we had created as a team was large and the change that I orchestrated was felt through out the company and I had won accolades and many recommendations and reviews for it. My manager knew nothing about our business area but was still asked to lead a significant charter including my team which she knew absolutely nothing about. She was close to a certain someone in the C-suite. She was asked to leave a few months after I left but the damage was done and irreversible. No one questioned her and I had to leave a thriving team and work behind. Now they have opened a role again and it is the same role that I had. Why wasn't I given that opportunity when my team and I proved our worth so many times through such impactful work? It is dirty politics. It is a SHAM! Please BEWARE!!

Pros

Workday is a truly values-driven company, and you can feel it every day. We’re in the middle of an exciting transformation to drive more innovation and speed, and while that has meant making some tough decisions, those decisions are always grounded in our core values. Employees and customers are consistently kept at the center, and there’s a real sense that doing what’s right guides how we operate and where we’re going as a company.

Cons

Decision-making can sometimes feel slow and unclear, as it’s not always obvious who has true ownership or final say. In a few areas, especially HR, leadership can feel more oriented around selling and positioning our products than around deep, hands-on practitioner experience, which occasionally creates a gap between strategy and the day-to-day needs of employees and managers.

Pros

Great culture at the peer to peer level. Excellent learning opportunities, good benefits and great name for resume.

Cons

Pretend to be transparent but a lot of smoke & mirrors. Significant cuts to comp plans & commissions that resulted in challenging pay cuts. While salaries were not reduced the OTE is no longer achievable and it’s a difference of thousands monthly, can’t even sell stock because it’s tanked. That being said, we’re disappointed in comp and stock but grateful to be employed because It’s no longer a matter of if you’ll be laid off but when.
