Was once a great company, rapidly declining. - UX Operations Lead Workday Employee Review

Pros

Remnants of a great employee centric culture. PTO Policy. Flexible working arrangements (50% in office)

Cons

Culture degrading due to leadership style. Design being led by a non-designer, trying to force total quantitative and scientific mindset into a human judgement based field. Low morale with constant layoffs. Expectation of metrics associated with every deliverable, without clear communication of how to track these metrics. Severe upward communication distortion (leadership may hear employees but feedback doesn't seem to affect decision making).

Pros

Flex work model- 50% in office Direct team is supportive- great people (hope they stay)

Cons

Constant churn in leadership and shifting priorities. Feels like we can’t get anything done. VPs and SVPs who only care about managing up. Vision is lacking Slow decisions and lots of layers of approval Women pushed out of leadership Feels like they are gaslighting people with talk of being employee first yet they hire leaders who do not live that value.
