I don't recommend this company to anyone. - Unloader/Processor Walmart Employee Review

Pros

Now that I look back at it the only pros I can think of, are the people I got to spend time with. I had an amazing area manager in receiving. As long as you worked hard and communication with your team people were willing to help you.

Cons

The hours and work are inconsistent. This is something they neglect to tell you when you get hired. During the holidays you typically get your hours if you work weekdays, and if you're lucky some overtime too. But once January comes around the volume drops drastically along with the hours. There is no set amount of hours you will work. There were days when I would only get 5-8 hours a day. Order fillers, loaders and replenishment divers are paid more and tend to get more hours than the receiving team does. Area managers and sometimes even the OPPs managers don't get treated right. If you're wanting to work up to become a manager, please be cautious and pay attention to how they treat your manager. I wish you the best and good luck. :)

Pros

Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

Cons

Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
