Pros

Apparently Unisys has had a glorious history in the American Tech Industry. Too bad it's the present. If you're just looking for a job, apply. They seem to hire everyone, without a care for competence or professional skills.

Cons

The largest problem with Unisys is the management from top to bottom. They are very disconnected with the day to day activities their employees are performing. (If you can't do the job of the person you're managing, you should not be a manager.) I feel everyones experience will be a little different depending on what project they are working on, but there is no pride in the company, products, or job. Company culture is basically non-existent. Also, the company's public image is completely missing. If you haven't worked for the company, have you ever heard what Unisys does? All this leads to moral problems around the office and detours from (what should be the goal) of building 1st class, quality products. The products and company are only as good as the worker's (who are considered expendable) effort and skill. It is frustrating to look around at all the incompetent people who can't perform their job. Shame on the managers for hiring them, then, not getting rid of them. It's a safe job, but it makes you feel sorry for the clients expecting a good products. A few other notes: - Health/Benefits are terrible - Salary is about middle of the road, but rarely any raises. - This company farms India for labor. - No praise or encouragement for doing well. - Working conditions / environment can be quite poor.

Pros

My boss was great. I was not there long but I felt really bad leaving because having a great boss is rare. I had great work-life balance. I liked what I did. I left because I was offered better salary and healthcare benefits (that I really needed at the time) somewhere else.

Cons

Cons will depend on the team and the team members. Mediocre benefits.

Pros

The company does a good job communicating what their ongoing and ultimate goals are.

Cons

Advancement opportunities don't seem to be the most clear or abundant, but it's also convoluted and could heavily depend on which team you're hired onto since it's a contracting company.
