Pros

Laid back culture Job security - they did fire anyone even during the recession in 2008. Moderate work life balance, more dependent on the kind of project manager you have Employee friendly policies (except in the case of compensation)

Cons

Bad paymaster - pay way below the market average, because they have a local employee base who are loathe to leave the organization, no matter what, most good people leave in some time as a lot did, moving to Cognizant back in 2010-2011. Office politics - majority workforce is from kerala/Tamilnadu and if you are not from these locations, then things become difficult, communicating with the team, getting a good appraisal Need to wear a tie every day (even on Friday!!!!) Career growth opportunities are not very good.

Pros

One of the things I value most about UST is the people. I have worked with supportive colleagues and leaders who are approachable and willing to help when needed. If you take ownership of your work and consistently deliver, you are trusted with greater responsibilities rather than being micromanaged. The company offers exposure to global clients, diverse technologies, and teams across different regions, which keeps the work interesting and helps you grow professionally. Learning opportunities are available for those who actively seek them out, and I have always felt encouraged to share ideas and improve the way we work. Like any large organization, your experience will depend on your project and manager, but overall I have found UST to have a collaborative culture where people genuinely work together to solve problems and support each other's success.

Cons

Cons Work life balance can vary depending on the project. Some delivery phases require extended hours, but better planning during peak periods would help.
