Pros
A flexible employer and a nice bunch of colleagues. Compensation wise they are pretty reasonable for the market and have some good benefits To some extent there isn’t a great pressure or urgency so it means work/ life balance is good Lots of focus on safety and freebies to boot Training is built in to the employee handbook and there UL University which is fantastic.
Cons
There’s constant change and UL Software seems to be suffering a lot with this. Too much work to do, but too unstructured and chaotic to know how to solve it. The change of President to the division is refreshing. She has the right ideas and strategy but worry the layer after isn’t able to execute the plan. Attitudes of some of staff from the acquired companies are resistant to change and hold back progress.
