Pros

The UPS brand is a strong brand that is well known and well respected which drives customers into your store.

Cons

UPS will send sales people after your business customers and offer them the same shipping rates that you pay as a franchisee. I lost one that spent $3,000 per month in my store. The last straw for me was when they told me to take down the American flag that I had displayed in my store...shame on you UPS!

Pros

Due to understaffing, certain staff gets more hours. Decent enough pay compared to other companies, if you're patient enough (several years later) you can finally move up. You'll do decently if you're put under a decent manager.

Cons

Always understaffed and managers say we are "overstaffed", managers can influence raises to some degree by what they say and their employee biases, etc.
