Pros

Early Hours, 'flexible' schedule (but only if it's for school purposes).

Cons

-Bad pay; starting pay is $10.50 an hour and you will maybe get a 50 cent raise every year or so. Assistant manager pay was $13.00 an hour. There are no benefits at this job. -No upward movement. -Employer often takes out frustrations on employees. -There was no written set of rules or contract for how things should be run in the store. -During the pandemic, we were expected to kick people out of the store for not wearing a mask. This lead to many arguments with customers and verbal abuse, threats of lawsuits, and violence against the employees. -Medical appointments were not an acceptable form of excuse. Employer frequently made appointments during work hours but employees were not allowed to do this. Again, none of this was mentioned during time of hiring. -Employer frequently takes smoke breaks and employees often have to track them down outside if you someone calls for them or if they need assistance on a shipment/print job. These smoke breaks are usually 15 minutes long and several were taken every day. -Listed as part time job but consistently schedules you 40 hours.

Pros

Due to understaffing, certain staff gets more hours. Decent enough pay compared to other companies, if you're patient enough (several years later) you can finally move up. You'll do decently if you're put under a decent manager.

Cons

Always understaffed and managers say we are "overstaffed", managers can influence raises to some degree by what they say and their employee biases, etc.
