      Pros

      It's awesome to work for a locally owned business. For the most part all decisions are made locally and they are very flexible.

      Cons

      Depending on the people who own the store, you may not have the best boss. They are also not able to pay what you might feel you should get because they are also trying to squeeze a paycheck out of the business since they have to pay royalties and other fee's to MBE who owns the "The UPS Store Franchise licensing rights. (MBE=Mail Boxes Etc. who was bought out by big brown.... UPS)

      Pros

      Due to understaffing, certain staff gets more hours. Decent enough pay compared to other companies, if you're patient enough (several years later) you can finally move up. You'll do decently if you're put under a decent manager.

      Cons

      Always understaffed and managers say we are "overstaffed", managers can influence raises to some degree by what they say and their employee biases, etc.
