Pros

HR policies, leaves, work life balance....trainings provided are good....you can learn a lot if you are a self learner.

Cons

Managers here have more than 20 years of experience... Basically you can say old people...old mindset....and old management. They do not focus on inventions and new ideas.....if they are doing wrong you are not suppose to raise your voice....if you do...you will be tortured in many ways.....all the managers have created a nexus together.... Even if you are not okay with manager's approach do not discuss it with any team member as any of them can be a tipper of that manager. HRs are in full control of managers...they will do only what managers want....appraisals are done on the basis of your relationship with manager....your work or performance doesn't matter at all....I repeat....doesn't matter at all....do not join unless you have 4-5 years of experience.... I do recommend fresher's to join this company as they will get at least a brand name on their resume which will help a lot.

Pros

Large client base. Talented people, have "cracked the code" on offshoring development and support.

Cons

For anyone used to working in US-based firms, the culture and politics will be difficult to understand and navigate. Internal policies and systems focus on the offshore delivery center model. Roles in the US do not fit into that mold, and obtaining approvals for simple expenses can require weeks and insanely high approval chains given the size of TCS. I needed approval from a global division head (a CEO direct-report) just to pay for a short training course. Missions of different departments are not clearly defined, so overlap and conflict are common.
