Pros

Pay- I was offered more then fair pay for my experience in the field.

Cons

Toxic work environment. Everybody who works there hates it, Even the TL and ETLs. They openly talk about how much they hate it. Not a good thing for a new employee to hear. Everyone was always actively searching for other jobs. Target rolled the visual merchandising position before it was ready. They want the store to look like a department store but they don't have the fixtures and mannequins to achieve that look. When you are only allowed to hang a top on the left of a rack and a bottom on the right, its hard to do anything really creative. Everybody was spread to thin. The soft lines TL who was supposed to work side by side with me was rarely ever around. They had her working volunteer events or stocking in hard lines. I was left to navigate this new position by myself with no real guidance or direction. Mostly the visual merchandiser at this store will be opening truck and putting out the product three days a week. It's a joke of a job.
