Pros
Can be used as an entry into the federal workforce until you get something better. You will be overwhelmed the first few months of training, but it’s smooth sailing when you get used to the procedures. Great benefits that come with federal employment.
Cons
Supervisors are not always on the same page, so I would say it’s a must to familiarize yourself with the procedures. Favoritism is rampant. Ghetto and lazy employees. Procedures change with short notice. Dealing with the traveling public. The budget is always in the crosshairs of congress. Terrible schedule when starting. Shift work.
