Pros

1.Okay benefits 2. Two consecutive days off in a row for your work week schedule. 3. Seatac TSA gives you free parking and vanpool/train/bus monthly passes for free to get to work. That's about it.

Cons

1.Horrible management. They don't have your back, instead they find ways to write you up, suspend you, and fire you 2. Miicro managing supervisors on the floor. They literally hide bend pillars in the background, starring you down and waiting for you to mess up so that they can write you up asap. 3. Horrible work hours (3:45am-12:15pm, 1st shift) especially if you're brand new, you have no seniority there so be ready to work at 3:45am. That means going to bed at 6pm and waking up at 1am in the morning to get ready for this job. Totally unhealthy for your body, mind, and soul! 4. Micro managed breaks. They literally come up to you and let you know that your time is up! Horrible and theres no legit break rooms with a fridge for you to put your lunch in. They barely even supply you water to drink and when it runs out, then your out of luck . . you still have to work!!! 5. Having to pat down passengers private parts on their body (YUCK and it's totally illegal, but yet TSA gets away with it!) and having supervisors tell you did it wrong, really? 6. You accumulate sick time, but if you call out when your really sick . . they interrogate you the next day(s) you come back to work. 7. You have to fight with other tso's who want a day off like you because your on a seniority bid type schedule there 8. You have to wait 5+ years until you can get a Sat or Sun off! 9. If you don't kiss up to management and supervisors, you'll never move up in this job and truly mean that. That means, no talking back or especially "QUESTIONING ANYTHING!" they do NOT like that and will find a way to fire you! 10. There's lots of favoritism that goes on at this job 11. Dead End career with coworkers who are fed up, annoying, and who are backstabbers and will tell on you if you do one thing wrong to management. Also they like to hire "yes men," people who are like robots and are mentally slow, that way they won't question management about all the foulness that is going on at that place!!! 12. It's like working at a sweat shop, but your in America instead of a third world country. It's so loud on the checkpoint, that your ears start to ring and you can barely hear yourself talk, let alone THINK! 13. Be ready to take pointless exams every month in order to keep this dead end job which is not worth it, AND be ready for surprise tests too when your on the floor! If you don't pass, then you get let go. I've seen supervisors not pass and be let go, same goes for tso's. 14.. Oh yeah, and the passengers are rude, smelly, angry, and they yell at you because they've been waiting 20 minutes in line!!!! . . . Oh yeah, when you get in argument with a passenger, to management . . the passenger is always right!!! Supervisors will never have your back when it comes to aggressive passengers yelling at you or wanting to fight you. 15. And the pay SUCKS!!!! You start off near $16, then come your 1 year anniversary you get one pay raise close to $20 and that's it for the remainder of you career there. If you stay there for years, you have to fight with nails and claws to get a decent review from supervisors who score people low intentionally just to get a 1-2% raise each year. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND APPLY ELSE WHERE! THIS JOB IS NOT WORTH YOUR HEALTH, AND STRESS.
