Pros

- Work from home contract. - Good work-life balance is possible.

Cons

Leadership seem to make consistently poor decisions. No budget to do job specific training, but forced instead to do very generic courses that take up several hours a week, with very little benefit. Travel bans, although leadership seem to be excluded from this policy. Moving the goalposts in our appraisals to make achievement more difficult, but only AFTER it is too late to do anything extra. US leaders don't understand that employment law is very different in Europe, and that if they followed through with some if the comments they have made, they would find themselves in court. Middle management are just a bunch of yes men who never push back when poor decisions are made. If I wasn't aiming to retire within the next 5 years, I would probably be searching for work elsewhere. But I will stick this out for as long as possible.

Pros

This is a company where you can learn a lot if you are willing to take initiative. There are many talented people you can connect with who are willing to help you improve and do your job better. I also believe there is a real opportunity to regain stability and grow professionally.

Cons

There are still some organizational challenges, including unclear ownership in certain areas and a high level of uncertainty. The onboarding process could also be improved, as it mainly focuses on general company benefits and HR information, rather than providing role-specific training or guidance for the actual job responsibilities.
