In March 2026, CEO Akshay Bharadwaj unexpectedly announced his departure. Since then, the company has begun laying off employees without providing any official communication or explanation to the remaining staff, creating a significant lack of transparency about the company's situation and future direction. Rather than announcing broader workforce reductions, the company appears to be conducting layoffs gradually (one or two employees at a time each week) which gives the impression of minimizing external visibility and scrutiny around the ongoing downsizing. Many of the employees affected have held important roles (Game Designers, UI/UX, QAs, etc). As a result, responsibilities have been redistributed among the remaining staff, leading to a noticeable increase in workload and pressure. Within specific game projects, burnout levels have become a serious concern. The company's culture and values also seem to be changing.
