Pros

Good package for both employment and layoff. Emphasis on DE&I which is lacking in many companies in SG.

Cons

Low salary Bias promotion system Stop the glorification on the top talent uni grad system please Easy retrenchment target whenever O&G cycle on the low. Manpower reduction trap, they plan you to promote to the new role after that when you assume a new role you are deemed ineffective by the incoming and therefore tipped to be layed off. The HR based in the HQ in KL only cares about retaining malaysian chinese and malays, even moving them to lucrative management position in malaysia or US.

Pros

Good people at the local level. The work is engaging and challenging.

Cons

Too many to count. Career advancements are extremely limited. Pay raises are minimal and don't get close to keeping up with inflation even for top performers. At the corporate level they are using acquisitions to hide massive layoffs. They return billions in profit to investors consistently, but there is still a constant threat of layoffs and multiyear freezes on pay raises even with inflation and solid corporate profit.
