Pros

Many great people, globally and in Racine, at functional and manager level 401K (You will not find better) Opportunities for global projects and travel Holiday Shutdown

Cons

Leadership (meaning Sr Director, VP, and up) that has no vision, no strategy, no idea what it means to manage a brand and company in 2021. In my time with the company, every new launch has been in response to a competitor, never being the innovator. Worst of all, I think the leadership are okay with being that way. WFH policy is an embarrassment. If you live 25 miles away, you are 'given the opportunity' to work remotely on a Friday. If you are 24 miles away, you are not given that opportunity. WFH doesn't really matter though: expect Friday in-person meetings because it is the only time people are free, and are scheduled by people who live within the 25 mile radius. 'Butts in seats' was always SCJ's core principles, as seen in their rabid desire to prevent working from home; the 'family' and the uppermost leadership love nothing more than seeing their ants working away in the office to 'pop in on'. However, COVID and 2020 took this to a new level. The upper leadership attempted to bring people back in June 2020, and continued to prove their ineptitude in this regard by pushing it back a month at a time until April. Joining the #blessed Leadership at SCJ mandates that you become a steamroller who rudely disregards everyone else. Common phrases to practice yelling at others are "that is not acceptable", "why was this not done in the first place", and "why can [competitor] do it and we can't" (the answer to that last one is Con #1 above minus 1 year of timeline. Yearly holiday vacation must be used by July, and renews in June. This means people dump a significant amount of vacation in the early summer, which shuts the company down. Move it to the end of year holiday time.

Thank you for your comments. We are proud to offer SCJ people the benefits and opportunities you mentioned in addition to many other offerings. Because we make decisions with careful consideration for the environment and the families who use our products, we recognize that at times, it may feel as though we aren’t moving fast enough. We believe in committing the necessary time and effort to collaborate cross-functionally to ensure we’re meeting customers’ needs and delivering the appropriate strategies, programs and solutions for our business. We strongly believe SCJ people are able to achieve their best when they can collaborate and work together in person. We recognize this may not be the preference of some and appreciate that may be the case. But we are committed to maintaining our unique culture by attracting and retaining SCJ people who are aligned with our common values and purpose of working for a better world.

Pros

You will not be bothered by people talking to you, benefits seem okay.

Cons

Don’t expect to be trained on anything. Management will expect you to figure things out on your own, request your own accesses and figure out what you need without any guidance. They’ll send people to you for questions on how to do stuff within your first couple days, not having taught you how to do those things.
