Pros

Good benefits and extra discounts offered. Wonderful grounds to work in and restaurant is very good with every meal is freshly cooked and great variation. Overall togetherness in the company, or those working in Marlow at least.

Cons

SAS is a company that takes its "good rating" in America and tries to carry it through to the UK. Many graduates and people have never heard of SAS and when they are approached they don't know who they are. SAS UK withdraw from the Times Top 100 after getting a poor rating in 2013 and now hide behind the US rating. This is very misleading. If you are thinking about applying for a role with SAS don't the management is shocking offering no support, the products may be high end but they are very complicated to use. Poor leadership from top to bottom. Direction often comes from Cary and this offers more problems than it solves. Nothing can be completed without having some form of clearance from Cary, NC. With an ageing workforce it is important to take on new, fresh, YOUNG, people but just leaving them to hang out to dry is not good management. Among the graduates there was a real togetherness but slowly ebbed away as people realised that there was little or no support for them. Introducing The OPEN Programme was initially a good idea but it was executed incorrectly with no support offered once they returned from their induction day. The management is the main area that needs to be addressed here. Managers are very gung-ho and never listen or support their team members. They just look down on them and have high expectations of them. If you introduce new staff to the team the least that can be done is to support them but none of that happend. No work was given to them and was just told to learn through the online tutorials. Now that may work for some but for majority it won't and this needs to be addressed. It also appears some rules only apply to certain teams within the business especially when it comes to working from home. Some can work once a week from home whilst others have to give a full detailed account of why they have to work from home.

Pros

Benefits: health coverage, on-site gym, childcare, healthcare center, and more. Work-life balance: predictable hours, flexibility for parents and a culture that doesn't expect you to grind 60-hour weeks.

Cons

Compensation lags the market, slow career advancement and promotions can take years. Change-resistant culture and new ideas move slowly. Leadership team manages up to just one person.
