Pros

Open culture; Leadership team is focussed on issues to be fixed not on politics - SAP is, compared to other employers, a company with relatively low levels of politics Global Opportunities are open on all levels - leadership team is committed to run the company with a global team, not as a kind of centralized hub& spoke system Executive Board consists of five nationalities, Different career paths possible - technical & management

Cons

Compensation for Garduates too low Employer branding at campus very low No good opportunities for MBA, its an engineering company SOme departments are really still too 'German" in their thinking and approach, though it got better ove rthe last years Innovation cycles are too long - from idea to productizaton; Diversity: Asia is often a bit neglected when it comes to participation in global or regional top management

Pros

The people at SAP are genuinely nice, and the culture is generally supportive. The work-life balance is good to an extent, but when you're busy, you're BUSY. SAP is highly complex so expect to take a year to ramp up.

Cons

Only way to get a high salary is if you're hired externally. They do not reward employees who are loyal to the company. Closed opportunities often have to go through the Compensation Exception Committee, creating uncertainty around earnings. Prepare for constant change, whether that's solutions being removed from your sales bag, account shifts, territory realignments, or changing compensation policies. Quotas can be difficult to attain
