Pros
Benefits are good but used to be better...job security used to be good but now is gone forever. You can be the hardest working employee and one day...it's taken from you for no reason at all. So be loyal to the highest bidder and change companies often. Chase the dollar and new opportunities.
Cons
If you are lucky enough to have a pension from this company you are a marked target. They will find a way to get rid of you so they don't have to pay it. When you hear "it was a business decision" you'll know they just saved themselves some money at the expense of your years of loyalty and commitment.
