Pros

The people are kind, creative, and intelligent; the company is committed to increasing diversity in both the staff they hire and the books they publish. Great vacation and leave policies.

Cons

While PRH has the highest entry-level salaries in the publishing industry, it’s still very hard to make ends meet in NYC on just under 40k. On the editorial side, there are few opportunities for promotions and moving internally is neither publicized nor encouraged.

Pros

Great writing, Top tier production

Cons

The male director never asked me once how I was doing or offer any advice to calm my nerves (on my first production ever with them) which lead to a burdensome recording process.

Pros

Summer Fridays - depending on if you manager allows you to take them

Cons

Management does not pay any attention to toxic managers who make their staff crazy until that staff quits then they act surprised and want to know why people are quitting
