-Top heavy leadership w/o process in place to allow for policy change or shared governance from the bottom
-High levels of leadership involvement and auditing down to day to day nursing care; what is a helping hand one minute can quickly become a burden (some would call this micromanagement). Interactions between team leads/ supervisors and staff nurses over auditing/ patient care can often be negative.
Plus with constant new education targeting endless avenues of improvement, you’re left to feel overwhelmed. While the intentions are good, the micromanaging and almost daily new education unintentionally creates an environment of being afraid to “mess up,” leads to conflict without avenues for improvement/ feedback, and stifles critical thinking.
-Some doctors left a little to be desired but are manageable to work with so long as you stay on your toes to advocate/ protect your patients
