Pros

Most coworkers seem to be friendly

Cons

The operational leadership approach is devastating! The management title is all that is important. Making side bar decisions without any communication of these changes. Departments are siloed. Changes made on the fly, and staff is not aware. Management style is fear based. You cannot talk to management without fear of reproach. Conversations are not private with upper management. Management says open door policy, but this is not the case. This company considers management as if a hierarchy and the employees are the peasants.

Pros

I have been privileged to work for Northside Hospital for the past five years, and my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. During my tenure, I have benefited from the organization's commitment to employee growth through its annual internal promotion policy, which has allowed me to advance within my current department. One of the aspects I value most is Northside's support for work-life balance and professional development. While working here, I was able to begin my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program from the ground up and am on track to graduate in December 2026. The flexibility and encouragement provided by the organization have played a significant role in helping me pursue my educational goals while continuing to contribute as an employee. I was a full-time employee for most of my career with the organization and recently transitioned to part-time status to accommodate the increased demands of my nursing program. The support and understanding shown by management throughout this process have reinforced my appreciation for the company's employee-centered culture. I am grateful for the opportunities, professional growth, and support I have received over the past five years.

Cons

None that I can think of right now
