The feeling of belonging is real. As Northside Hospital continues to grow, they keep us well informed on all the happenings and how it will effect us. You have several opportunities for growth if you are wanting change.

Cons

Northside works on a Merit increase. Basically it's a increase of your pay based on your work, attendance, and a few other things. All in all it does not amount to much but it is something.

Student nurse extern

-some of the nurses on the floor were nice -gets your foot in the door with a hospital as a student -supportive management on the floor i was hired on

Cons

-low pay for what you put up with -was mainly working as a patient care tech as opposed to a nurse extern -nurses on the med/surg floors weren’t very nice and willing to help -don’t feel like i got enough training -the pre shift anxiety was horrendous
