Pros

You are not micro-managed and have a lot of autonomy on how you get your work done. Good benefits package Nice offices Mature approach to remote working

Cons

You will only get promotions or pay rises if your face fits. I had one pay rise in all my time here, and that was a small one. People who are no longer in favour can be frozen out, to encourage them to leave. Ongoing re-organisations involve mass redundancies. Since re-branding as NTT the culture of the organisation has changed for the worse. Most managers above mid-management level have left and been replaced. Dimension Data was a great company to work for but NTT Ltd is not. The organisation has completely lost direction. The CEO has tried to explain the rationale behind the re-organisation and his vision for the company, but nobody understands it (I don't think he does, and other managers cannot explain it to their teams). Some of his "all hands" calls are like Dilbert cartoons. Managers in the area I worked often criticise their staff in front of their colleagues.

Pros

I have worked with NTT DATA as a government IT and project management consultant since 2018, starting with Cognosante before the acquisition. My experience has been very positive. I have had the autonomy to focus on the success of my team and my client, while also having the support of a large, high-performing organization. There are real opportunities for growth, strong training resources, and leaders who genuinely care about employees, clients, and the communities they serve. I have also been promoted during my time here, which reflects the company’s commitment to recognizing and developing talent.

Cons

As with many large organizations, processes and systems and can sometimes take time to navigate, especially during periods of growth or transition. Continued focus on communication and simplifying internal processes would make the employee experience even stronger.
