Pros

Good benefits, insurance is decent (dental was only taken in a couple of locations as far out as Buffalo or Albany), parental leave is paid and pretty decent- probably one of the better coverages in the region. Very busy line of work, so if you like to keep busy on phones while processing claims, you'll do well.

Cons

Working from home took out a lot of the "competitive" environment stuff they continuously promoted before the pandemic. Most people there were there for paychecks, not to be in competition over quotas. If quotas were met, the bar was raised, leaving many scrambling to maintain said quotas well into breaks or lunches (or both). Some toxicity among teams, poor management of situations such as gossip, and pay raise transparency. New hires were coming onboard making $3-5 more than employees that had been there for several years.

Pros

Good support for new people managers were very helpful and always available

Cons

Micromanage every second of your time; have to put in a request to go to the bathroom and wait for someone to grant it Expect you to put exceptions to your time after your shift ends on your own time Half hour lunch by the time I brought my lunch or heated my leftovers and went to the bathroom. I barely had time to wolf it down. Unrealistic call times Systems are horrible and crashing all the time expect you to be in at least 15 minutes before your shift unpaid to set up all the programs on your computer
