Liberty going downhill FAST - Senior Recruiter Liberty Mutual Insurance Employee Review

Pros

Salary, benefits, flexibility. Depends largely who your manager is. I was lucky to have a good manager.

Cons

Liberty decided (aka the higher up that has a personality of a cardboard and is dry as a desert) to outsource our work to the Philippines and India so they did a massive layoff. Yes, they warned us but the number of people that was let go was shocking! Over 50%. They also did not care if you had the best performance reviews on the team or that your candidate and hiring manager reviews were excellent. Nope, it is a corporate decision and if I have to hear it again, I will lose my mind. This used to be a great place to work and now, team morale is a 0. The lucky ones that got to stay… well, no one feels safe anymore. This massive layoff is due to poor planning on the executives. Ever since we have a new CEO, this company has gone downhill. And who gets punished? Yes, us, the individual contributors while executives are getting a massive bonus from this outsourcing. It’s sickening to my stomach.

Pros

Decent pay, way to start in insurance, decent training, nice facility with lots of parking.

Cons

Unbelievable workload that cannot be completed in an 8 hour period. However, it is expected to be done with no overtime allowed. Coworkers crying at their desk due to receiving a weeks worth of work in 1 day. Can crush all of your marks just to be met with well for this reason you only meets, so here is your 3%.
