Pros

Great company to work for! This company is great for college new hires. The RMDP program that Liberty's Risk Control has is a fantastic way to start your career. Upper management is very supportive and more than happy to help in any way possible. Coming directly from college, I was expecting to be overwhelmed with the information that would be given to me, but due to the structure that the RMDP provides, I was pleasantly surprised. I get to see different industries every day, which constantly keeps me challenged. The team atmosphere also provides a very smooth transition. Everyone is just as new as you are which gave me peace of mind. If you want to travel and see something different every day, this is a position for you to look into. Liberty Mutual as a whole puts a lot of emphasis on their employees, and truly wants to help them succeed. Development is always available. I've learned and developed more than I ever thought I would in the first three months of employment.

Cons

Systems can be improved, but can easily be learned.

Cons

Started my career at Liberty Mutual as a Workers' Compensation intern. In the beginning, everything was going well. The workload was demanding, but I genuinely enjoyed the job and the work I was doing. One year later, I got promoted to claim adjuster. Things changed after my manager was seriously injured in a car accident. The department director took over managing our team, and the work environment became completely different. She was extremely rude and practiced excessive micromanagement. She expected me not to take any PTO if my work wasn't completely finished, even when I needed time off because my grandmother had suddenly passed away. The constant pressure and lack of empathy took a serious toll on my mental health. I developed depression during that time and eventually had to seek help from a psychologist. In the end, I decided to leave Liberty Mutual. It was one of the best decisions I made for my well-being, and I would not consider returning to the company.
