Pros

KBS Is a very collaborative, innovative place to work. With that, comes a strong sense of what Koch refers to as the "challenge process." This process is used on a daily basis by KBS employees to seek the best knowledge and drive process improvements across the different groups. Change is more or less a constant in this environment. This culture drives a sense of positivity and eagerness within the company that makes coming to work everyday enjoyable and rewarding. Perhaps one of the biggest pros of working for KBS is the senior and mid-level management. For instance, it is not uncommon to find the president, Richard Swan, chatting with employees at their desks just to check-in and see how things are going. In addition, team lunches on and off-site, team building activities off-site, and "food days" are commonplace across the company. It is evident each group leader strives to invigorate a positive environment by creating a unique, positive culture for their team.

Cons

This is not a an 8-5 job where you show up, do your job, and go home. The company has very high expectations of all employees and rewards high performers accordingly.

Pros

Good insurance. The Atlanta office was more flexible with remote/hybrid work

Cons

The politics. People devalue teammates. Constantly changing direction so no meaningful impact can be made. Not a lot of diversity. If you don’t ask how someone’s kids are, you get complaints that you’re cold and difficult. Got there and a reorg killed the reason I was hired and was never provided with any sort of hope of growth opportunities.
