Pros

Good Salary, 5 weeks a year paid time off plus holidays and past two years at least, 2 bonus days during holiday break, early release Fridays (called weekend jump start) - 2 hours PTO gifts awarded during summer (I know, when do we get any work done, right?! Nevermind, we earn it!); STRONG Mentorship program (and mentors are awarded national and local office recognition); Excellent diversity track record. Fellow employees are very nice. Flex-time and work from home. Strong benefits package.

Cons

A little hard to find out what is going on in local offices and their org structures, since many practices do not publish this information. This impacts career mobility somewhat, at least it makes one have to be very gregarious and creative in order to find out about opportunities. On the flip side, once you get someone's attention they are always open to discuss opportunities.

Pros

You get to work with an awesome, highly resilient group of local peers in the advisory practice. The KPMG brand still holds value, but the internal team dynamics have become incredibly fractured.

Cons

We have outsourced 80%+ of our Risk Advisory work, leaving onshore seniors with massive gaps in their experience. As a manager, I am stuck doing senior-level work because I typically have only one or zero local seniors or associates on my teams. The best leaders have already resigned because this model prevents actual management and mentoring. Also, it might take you 30+ years to become partner in Risk Advisory, if at all.
