Pros

Working with the Japanese is pretty enlightened that's when you get to work with them. Management sometime prevents the barrier.

Cons

Horrible management, they expects us to be efficient yet giving us very little direction to go on. Everybody in management keeps telling the technical engineer to get busy, but does not give any vision or structure. Everybody in management knows each other, typical "you scratch my back and I'll scratch your" management style. If you don't know upper management or their old school friends, good luck keeping your job. The principal process engineer is there because his buddy from KBR knows him. Everybody is in there to get as much from the new venture and walk away with their pockets full. When it comes to efficiency they laid off the technical people that work on the project first, and keeps their friends. JGC is an international renounce EPC company, but their JGC in America is a joke of a venture. It's more like a mom and pop garage engineering shop. Their eventual process leader (Alan) is a good technical P&ID engineer, but the most incompetent leader. He's only good at reading P&IDs, but not anything else. Most of the time he's a hot-head and stomp on people to get to the top. If you work with him, be sure to watch your back. If things go wrong, he'll throw you under the bus first.
