Pros

Access to decent-looking, particleboard furniture with an acceptable discount, the employee cafeteria has a meal deal for $3 (if they haven't changed it since last I was there, and you get to meet people from all over because you can bet that, if there's an Ikea, you can count on much of the local and not-so-local population passing through at some point or another They have amazing employee benefits, like their life-work balance program. Sometimes navigating the labyrinthine corridors of the benefits Ikea offer can be tiresome, but not many entry-level companies offer benefits such as these.

Cons

The size of the crowds shopping on the weekend can be a little on the extreme side for such a "destination" and so might be a bit much for some new to retail employees. If you have your eye on something to purchase, you better pony up the cash right away because you're not allowed to "hold" it. Not too many cons, really, from what I remember.

Pros

I have a very empathetic and flexible manager. Although I do meet the requirement to be in office three days a week many others do not and don’t seem to suffer for it. My work can be challenging at times, but due to the slow pace of most things here I rarely feel overwhelmed.

Cons

This is, without equivocation, the most sclerotic organization I have ever been a part of. The management structure and reporting lines are inscrutable and even after 3 years I barely understand how my team fits into the larger picture. My job is a data role, and although getting access to data has improved somewhat, it is still one of my biggest blockers.
