Pros

Mostly positive experiences while interning at different titles at Hearst Corporation. It is a good place to network, and most of the time people want to help and mentor you. You definitely have to work hard first and prove yourself before anything though.

Cons

Unpaid internships and long work hours, but that's something you should expect before even applying to magazines.

Pros

Well-organized and good communication. As a contractor, I found Hearst to be a pleasure to work with.

Cons

I don't have any cons to report other than that the accounts payable is out of North Carolina and can take 60 days to receive payment.
