Pros

Opportunities for younger Design Directors at the different titles that they own. Beautiful building near Central Park. Get to be part of some historic brands.

Cons

Hearst does not give it's Design Director's the resources that it takes to run a magazine. Most people are doing 2 to 4 people's jobs and compensation is low compared to the competition.

Pros

I love working at Hearst in the Baltimore, Maryland market. I have worked for many radio stations over the past nearly 40 years and this is one of the best companies as far as working environment. I really feel cared for here.

Cons

On a personal level, I've had a hard time getting full time employment within the company, which is discouraging. Also, it takes forever for management to make hiring decisions.
