Pros

Solid people and technology to work with, focused on results and getting things done.

Cons

Unfortunately Halliburton has decided to mandate 5 days RTO and eliminate any remote days. Sadly this is when most of the actual work was being done. Hybrid was a great solution to take advantage of both in person collaboration and remote work to focus in home office and get the work done. Loud cubicle areas and constant distractions when everyone has been able to get used to having quiet home office is going to be a difficult transition back and will be hard to maintain same level of productivity for some.

Pros

Great experience, especially if just starting out in oil and gas industry. Lots of industry-leading equipment/tech/etc.

Cons

If you can't handle long hours, harsh conditions (at times), and being away from home for long periods of time, this job isn't for you. My experience at Halliburton was also that many people feel like they're just a number in that management will make frequent (and often sweeping) changes to processes, workflows, engineering schedules, etc. Lots of bureaucratic hoops to jump through in order to advance through the three levels of Field Engineer before you can "break out" and really make good money.
