Pros

- I have never enjoyed working with people more. - Provided an amazing opportunity for career development as a starting engineer - Big company with lots of opportunity advancement

Cons

-Starting salary nearly 5k lowet than other nearby tech firms. -Access to an employee purchase program but at only a 5% discount on average and the management is constantly trying to sell products to employees (it's a bit insulting guys) -Recently the company blocked all music and video streaming at work to "speed up the network and save money on net traffic costs" so now we can't listen to music at work. it seems a little petty and illustrates how management is penny wise but pound foolish

HP Inc. Response

Thanks for sharing your feedback about working at HP. As we shape our new company together, employee voice has never been more important. I encourage you to share your input through our Voice, Insight, Action global employee survey that runs through Feb 5. Also consider participating in the "Creating a New HP" group on ConnectHP. There was a healthy conversation about the streaming topic with employees and IT. Did you know that the HP public network is open for music streaming? YouTube is also accessible as are many video sites that are used for work. Just wanted to provide one example of how your voice can make a difference. I hope this helps! ~ Kristin Taylor, Head of Employee Communications

Pros

Good working culture. It falls a little prey to acting like we're a family and not a business, but at least it doesn't pretend "we work hard, we play hard".

Cons

ELT and upper management have zero vision for the company besides desperately trying to pull up stock prices. Company continues to make deep long-term sacrifices for short term gains, that barely rise above the performance of our competitors. Benefits weaken each year. Example: CVS Caremark now handles RxD insurance, and CVS Caremark is incompetent and exploitative.
