Pros

-There are amazingly hard workers who pick up the slack of those who don't contribute -Benefits: health, dental, vision, 401k, travel for training, college reimbursement -The experience will toughen and prepare you for better work positions in the science, manufacturing and biotechnology fields -It's a noble cause to make medicines for those who need it and to be a part of that

Cons

-There is incredible high turnover in the company (54%) -Company puts on the desire to change company culture at corporate level but does not believe in their own vision to translate at the center level -There is constant struggle with change. Often results in some insubordinate individuals who don't want to perform tasks related to their position -Ineffective and improper communication at the regional level. Regional management is not interested in developing center management. Regionals do not listen to the concerns of managers at the center level and will often throw managers under the bus -Inappropriate conduct and behavior among operations management and line staff. Sexual misconduct and favoritism is common. Hostile work environment -Staff and management are all around overworked. No work life balance -Significant and noticeable low morale -Training is often rushed to make up for the constant influx of those who leave or are terminated -Some donors can be combative and locations of the centers are not in the best locations

Pros

Good for phlebotomy experience Meet interesting people Learn to keep plates spinning Good health benefits, but not enough to outweigh the health impacts Learn working in a high-stress fast-paced work environment

Cons

Have to unlearn working in a high-stress fast-paced work environment High school drama and toxicity, management is the prom king/queen Cliquey dramatic management team Reneged agreements Playing favorites, rules for thee but not for me Private employee info gets spread, often by those who are relied upon to keep it private No work life balance or boundaries, and it's an admitted and perpetually unaddressed fault Have to be made to feel guilty for wanting to leave production, get a break, or go to the bathroom High turnover "Is everyone else working as hard as I am?",-Everyone, and eventually you
