Pros

It used to be owned by Novartis. There is a espresso machine in all the main buildings. There is always more work to be done.

Cons

I left this job because it felt like death by a thousand cuts. They took away a preferred vendor for healthcare, raises were +0.95% of last year's salary, mothers were delegated to a small windowless room for their "relaxation", a couple of re-organizations, desk changes 6 times in 2 years, etc etc. And then a few days ago I got a incorrect 1095C, I called the HR hotline, I got a promise of being called back when someone found the correction, which is what I expected b/c its probably not a common problem. Instead about an hour later, I got an email with another employees SSN, birth date AND those of her 8 dependents confirming her elections. If I were a nefarious type I could have used this private information to very wicked means. Instead I called the HR hotline with 5 minutes and informed them of their mistake. Eventually I was transferred to a manager within HR, who asked me to disregard and delete the email. Sadly, this is not the first time this happened while I was at Grifols, it happened in March 2015 for a woman in Utah and another HR hotline problem I was having. I wish I was exaggerating any of this but I'm not.

Pros

Good for phlebotomy experience Meet interesting people Learn to keep plates spinning Good health benefits, but not enough to outweigh the health impacts Learn working in a high-stress fast-paced work environment

Cons

Have to unlearn working in a high-stress fast-paced work environment High school drama and toxicity, management is the prom king/queen Cliquey dramatic management team Reneged agreements Playing favorites, rules for thee but not for me Private employee info gets spread, often by those who are relied upon to keep it private No work life balance or boundaries, and it's an admitted and perpetually unaddressed fault Have to be made to feel guilty for wanting to leave production, get a break, or go to the bathroom High turnover "Is everyone else working as hard as I am?",-Everyone, and eventually you
