Cons

For requiring a Masters degree pay is similiar to other disciplines that do not require a Master's. At times when there is no clerical support, SW role can become clerical.

If you’re motivated and interested in growing within the organization, there are opportunities to move into leadership or other clinical roles.

Cons

As an LVN, it can sometimes be challenging to balance nursing responsibilities while also performing dialysis technician duties. Your role may vary from day to day—you might be assigned as the LVN one shift and float or work in a technician capacity the next. Because of this, flexibility is essential. Daily assignments can change based on patient census and staffing needs, so being adaptable is important for success in the role.
