Pros

-good way to learn technical skills for stress analysis, boiler pressure vessel code

Cons

-very old fashioned way of doing work -reliant on slow processes -not friendly -most of the work is extremely boring. don't work here if you have trouble focusing on something as complex as say, reading 3 different 500 page PDF's of technical specifications for 1 project

Difficulty working in silos across facilities due to systems being different and not integrated into common system upon mergers.

A lot of good people working here.

Cons

Outsourcing too much design work to India and running with too little design and engineering staff in Kalamazoo. Quality is really suffering at the expense of speed. Nexus is a really poor PLM system. It has hurt productivity significantly and caused employees immense frustration.
