Pros

- This job provides good clerical and office skills to a person like myself with no degree. - Working with customers to complete unique projects is very rewarding - FedEx benefits are great. Medical, Dental, Paid Holiday, etc

Cons

- Middle Management (in my district) is terrible. They don't mean what they say and their is constant backbiting and petty behavior - The opportunity to move up is constantly talked about but the management is not intentional in building their employees skills - There is a lot of responsibility and not many employees which in turn cause a lot of stress on the workers and customers. - KPI metric system is deeply flawed. A perfect survey is ruined if you get one 9 out of 10. Management shows no understanding that not every survey can be perfect -The amount of work for the stress just is not worth it -Micro managing on things such as the "4 key phrases" which are not possible or natural with all customers

Pros

Good work life balance, hours are flexible, team members are pretty nice overall, benefits are good, company is stable and job security is good

Cons

Way too many things to remember, they say “you don't have to remember everything, just know where you can figure it out” and thats all fine and good but there are so many places to go and you have to know where, and despite what they say there are things you cant find anywhere and just have to know, so many systems are just confusing and have no real guidelines to follow, and thats not to mention that every manager has there own places where they do it either the fedex way or their own way, and you never know until you get called out for doing something. Pay is also pretty low and the only way to make more is take on management roles
