Pros

Beginners can learn the ins and outs of software development fairly quickly, and EPAM offers a range of projects to "choose" from.

Cons

Management is virtually non-existent. You have to manage yourself, you will have to be the one to look out for your best interest (i.e. tell if a project is not for you or even find a project you can work on). At times, you may even feel like you're just a robot who got sold to some third-party. You seldom feel that you're a valuable member of the company. They will keep telling you that you should develop yourself, but not because they care about you. It's business. The more you know, the easier it is for them to sell you to some project.

Pros

Interesting projects, high tech standards and internal knowledge sharing, and a rich representation of all possible Slavic accents.

Cons

Engineering-first culture results in obnoxiously fragmented internal tech platforms because errybody wants to build it themselves. Not a big deal, just engineers doing what engineers will do.
