Pros
Positive work environment with opportunity for growth. Resources are available for continued learning and development. Work life balance is also good. Depending on the systems you are working with there may be some support required during odd hours but there is always 'give and take', extra hours worked are forgiven later on as early out etc.
Cons
Compensation is below industry average. Achievement visibility is not always the greatest. Working at a large company this is expected but it can be tough for someone who wants to be promoted and take on more responsibility. Highly political at times. Business should become more technical, technical folks should have more clout on business side.
