Pros

Combustion, performance, emissions engineer position was great. One really has to get a grasp on how the whole diesel engine works. Since you are mostly working with the engine running it comes to life and everything is variable. The company has great support for learning as much as you want to know all it takes is reaching out and everyone is helpful. There are a lot of solid people working at Cummins.

Cons

The companies locations just may not be for everyone. Mostly rural slower pace cities. Headquarters lives up to its culture but other locations lose that feel. Many things said and what is done doesn't always line up which displaces your trust a little.

Pros

Work from home, flexibility, paternal leave policy, pension plan

Cons

Pay is low and has not kept up with inflation. Leadership is only DEI hires, and they do not seem to understand the actual work being done. They are making life miserable for employees by adding unnecessary KPI's and performance tracking to make a name for themselves within the senior leadership. No loyalty for employees, they will let you go in the blink of an eye if the business struggles.
