Pros

Good training provided. They let you get on with the job without interference. Dynamic and exciting place to work.

Cons

'Them and us attitude' between management and shop floor a throwback to the 1970's with over-manning and disgruntled workers that often have zero aptitude for building engines. Clueless back covering 'supervisors' and hopeless ex Leyland managers that would struggle to change a set of spark plugs run the show. Very cliquey company - if your face doesn't fit or you want to make changes they will find a way to 'manage you out' to keep the status quo and the cushy jobs.....the attitude is 'stich or get stitched-up'. HR culture punishing people for being 2 minutes late. Those that just want to get the job done and improve things get shafted by pedalling along people that know how to play the system. If Daventry made washing machines or motor cars it would have been shut down years ago - lucky for them they are in a niche market.

Pros

Work from home, flexibility, paternal leave policy, pension plan

Cons

Pay is low and has not kept up with inflation. Leadership is only DEI hires, and they do not seem to understand the actual work being done. They are making life miserable for employees by adding unnecessary KPI's and performance tracking to make a name for themselves within the senior leadership. No loyalty for employees, they will let you go in the blink of an eye if the business struggles.
