Pros
Respected name in the industry Top ethical company Great coworkers Great focus on diversity with strong affirmative action policy providing great leadership opportunities for females and ethnics minorities Very profitable through cost reduction cutting (double-edge as one reorganization occurs every year)
Cons
For years Cummins has had a strategy of "great place to work & top employee engagement" but felt on its face and dropped it. Has a "growth strategy" since 5 years but did not find any traction whatsoever. Lot of red tape driven by an extreme functional organization Short-term-sighted decisions with only one driver: keep the stock value up Lot of waste and inefficiencies which along with recurrent cost cutting, result in low morale employees
