Pros

The WFH model was great. People were very flexible with our schedules, allowing for a very nice work/personal life balance. My teammates were mostly great, very professional, and intelligent people who were collaborative and easy to work with. They offer a generous quarterly bonus and days off.

Cons

While it's nice that the company offers a day off every quarter, it's only given to us if the "company does well," this should be something we're offered regardless of performance. The CEO invests a lot in self-promotion instead of promoting the well-being of its employees. Inviting us to webinars on his race car driving is tone-deaf. The all-hands meetings were too long and unmotivating. The company is constantly changing and illogically re-orging, only to slow down business processes further. There is a long chain of approval from another organization within that has the final say when something goes into production, which is usually rejected and stalled for months. The same products are worked on for a year with little to no major progress. The company promotes managers within even when they aren't natural leaders. There's no vetting process or training. Toxic and inappropriate behavior from management is tolerated with no repercussions. Inexperienced managers use their authority rather than managing to compensate for a learning curve.

Pros

Remote work culture Is excellent, innovative tech, company's growth and opportunities to protect clients. Felt fortunate to have worked for this organization that has a strong growth tragectoruy and protects clients.

Cons

Manager/Director level: Poor communication from team manager/director, with little to no direction and the lack of team morale. Team members were on their own after training and most meetings could've been an email. The presence of the director was the equivalent of a virtual bulletin board. No ownership was taken from management to lead or guide the team and no sense of loyalty exists between management and team members. Good talent was squandered due to complacency and lack of direction. Company: Con for the company is the unfortunate lay offs that happened after leaving the company. It's a shame they laid off veterans from my former team. The writing on the wall was apparent, from outsourced new hires to the non-competitive compensation for newer hires. The company went from a fun and competitive start up to a disconnected company trying to emulate tech industry trends and "balances the budget" AKA lay offs, to look good to share holders. For a company that nets huge profits year after year, layoffs shouldn't be part of the reality.
